A 55 year old single cask single grain whisky from Invergordon, distilled in 1966 and bottled by Douglas Laing in its Xtra Old Particular series at 49.9%. It was matured in a refill barrel, and 95 bottles were produced. Invergordon distillery was founded in 1959 and started operating in 1961.
The nose brings autumn fruit, brown sugar and clove-studded oranges. On the palate come vanilla, warming oak and milk chocolate, with an extremely rich, smooth texture.
