Isle of Harris – The Hearach 2023 First Release (70cl, 46%)

The Hearach is the first single malt from the Isle of Harris Distillery. It was presented on 23 September 2023, eight years to the day after the distillery opened, and is the first whisky legally distilled on the island. The 46% vol. bottling is a vatting of 85% bourbon casks, 11% Oloroso sherry casks and 4% Fino sherry casks. The youngest parts are five years old and the oldest almost eight. It is peated to 12-15 ppm, and is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
