The Hearach is the first single malt whisky from the Isle of Harris distillery in the Outer Hebrides. This bottle comes from batch HE 00004 23.
The spirit is matured in ex-bourbon casks and in oloroso and fino butts.
It opens with sweet florals and caramel, with only a faint trace of peat. The palate brings Battenberg cake and apple strudel with a hint of cinnamon. It is smooth, with a long finish.
