Isle of Harris – The Hearach Single Malt (46%)

Isle of Harris The Hearach is a single malt from the Outer Hebrides, described as the first historic single malt of Harris. It revives distilling traditions lost in the Pabbay clearances of the 1840s. The spirit is distilled by local people and matured, married and bottled on the island. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and free of artificial colouring. The nose offers beach bonfires, orchard fruit, ginger, vanilla and floral honey. On the palate come Scottish tablet, apples, nutty malt, clotted cream and soft peat smoke, and the finish is clear with a delicate smokiness.
