This is a peated single malt from Isle of Raasay, bottled from a single cask in the Na Sia Single Cask Series. The spirit was distilled in 2018 and spent all seven years in cask 18/839, which had held American rye whiskey. It was bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 57.3%, filling 243 bottles, and is natural in colour and non-chill-filtered.
Na Sia is Gaelic for 'the six': the series shows each cask component of the regular Isle of Raasay malt on its own, and this is the American rye one.
The nose offers warm wood smoke, butterscotch and vanilla. The palate is oily, with black pepper, cinnamon and dark fruit, and the finish is long, with syrup, dry oak and ashy embers.
