Isle of Raasay 5 Year Old is a peated single malt from a single cask, number 18/721, in the Na Sia Single Cask Series. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2024, after maturing in a Bordeaux red wine cask.
It was bottled at a cask strength of 59.9% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
Seaweed and ripe cherries come through on the nose, with light oak spice. Woodsmoke meets black cherry on the palate, with a salty note like sea breeze. The finish is long, keeping smoke and dark fruit together.
