Isle of Raasay – Distillery Special Release 2021 (70cl, 52%)

This is the first distillery special release of 2021 from the Isle of Raasay, a single malt bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled, matured and bottled on the island, and each bottle carries its own number. The whisky was matured first in ex-rye whiskey casks, then finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks. The glass is moulded with fossils and rocks from the island. It is described as having hints of peppery spice, almond, nuts and sweet fruit.
