Isle of Raasay – Inaugural Release

This is the first single malt from Isle of Raasay Distillery, launched in winter 2020 as the first legal single malt Scotch whisky from the island. The spirit is peated, matured in a first-fill ex-Tennessee cask and then finished in a first-fill ex-Bordeaux red wine barrel. It is bottled at cask strength and natural colour, in an edition of 7,500 bottles. The glass bottle is moulded with fossils and rocks from the island. The distillery opened in 2017 at Borodale House, where all cask maturation takes place. Its two pot stills were built in Italy.
