Isle of Raasay Na Sia Single Cask Series Peated Ex-Bordeaux Red Wine Cask is a limited edition single malt, bottled at a cask strength of 59.8% in a 70cl bottle. Na Sia means The Six in Gaelic and refers to the six signature cask styles of the distillery.
This bottling is peated Raasay spirit fully matured in an ex-Bordeaux red wine cask.
The nose combines peat smoke with ripe blackberries, redcurrants and dark cherries. The palate is full-bodied, with dark berries, black cherry and red plum over sweet malt and peat smoke, plus dark chocolate and black pepper. The finish is long and warming, with red fruits, earthy smoke and gently drying oak.
