Isle of Raasay Na Sia Single Cask Series Unpeated Ex-Bordeaux Red Wine Cask (70cl, 59.2%)

This is a single cask release from Isle of Raasay Distillery, part of the Na Sia series. Na Sia means "The Six" in Gaelic and refers to the distillery's six signature cask combinations. The bottle is 70cl, at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV. The unpeated Raasay spirit was fully matured in an ex-Bordeaux red wine cask. The nose is ripe raspberry, blackberry and red cherry with vanilla and dark chocolate. On the palate there are red berries, black cherry and plum, with cocoa, cinnamon, black pepper and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with dark berries, chocolate and sweet spice.
