Isle of Raasay – Single Cask 5 Year Old Peated Chinkapin Oak (61.3%)

This is a five-year-old peated single malt from Isle of Raasay, drawn from a single cask of American chinkapin oak. It belongs to the Na Sia Single Cask Series. Na Sia is Gaelic for 'the six', after the distillery's six-cask recipe, in which peated and unpeated spirit mature separately in rye whiskey, chinkapin oak and Bordeaux red wine casks. Bottled at 61.3%, it is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, and has a natural amber tone. Woodsmoke and dark fruit sit in balance, with a spicy side from the chinkapin oak.
