Isle of Raasay Special Release Sherry Finish is a single malt from the Hebridean island distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 52%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was first matured in rye whiskey casks, then finished in Oloroso and PX sherry quarter casks.
The nose shows spice, nuts and dried fruit, with floral hints and a touch of nutmeg. On the palate there are dark fruit, almonds, spices and a dry sherry note. The finish is long, spicy and slightly dry, with a fine sweetness and clear cask influence.
