Isle of Raasay – The Chinkapin (70cl, 50.2%)

Isle of Raasay The Chinkapin is a lightly peated single malt from the island distillery off the coast of Skye, bottled at 50.2% in a 70cl bottle. Peated and unpeated spirit, made from 100% Scottish barley, are matured separately in fresh and refill Chinkapin oak casks and then married. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose brings wood smoke and rich dark fruits. On the palate are BBQ glaze, honey, bright lime, cinnamon and smoked ham, and the finish carries sandalwood and lingering fragrant smoke.
