The Draam is the core-range single malt from Isle of Raasay Distillery, on the island of Raasay off the coast of Skye. It is lightly peated and bottled at 46.4%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was matured in a combination of first fill ex-rye whiskey casks, virgin Chinkapin oak and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks.
The nose offers light coastal peat smoke, bramble jam and dark cherries, with rye spice and heather honey. On the palate come blackberries, plums, redcurrants and toffee, with a soft, rounded texture. The finish is medium in length, with dark berries, peppery spice, soft peat smoke and a faint saltiness.
