An 18 year old blended malt Scotch whisky from Ian MacLeod, called Private Stock. It brings together peated island malts with Speyside and Highland malts.
The nose is complex, with toffee, leather, tobacco and earthy notes, a veil of smoke and subtle citrus. The palate is sweet and smooth, with caramel, honey, vanilla and a touch of salt and pepper over a gentle smoky backdrop.
The finish is medium in length, with caramel and a touch of spice.
