Isle of Skye 30 Year Old is a blended Scotch aged for 30 years in oak casks. It brings together island and mainland whiskies, including Speyside components, with a high proportion of malt.
It is a batch bottling at 40% in a 70cl bottle, presented in a wooden box. Ian Macleod Distillers is responsible for the brand.
The nose has vanilla and light oak with almond pastry, coconut and a floral note. The palate is silky and sweet, with buttery pastry, fresh malt, raisins and creamy vanilla. The long finish is dry, with gentle spice and Demerara sugar.
