J & B Rare is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1990s. It is very pale, almost white in colour. The nose is clean and fruity, with light plum eau-de-vie, roasted nuts and brioche. In the mouth it is light but balanced, slightly smoky and quite malty, with apple juice and a little vanilla. The finish is fresh and clean, with a malty aftertaste.
