J.J. Corry The Gael Irish Whiskey (New Design) (70cl, 46%)

J.J. Corry The Gael is a blended Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It is made from equal parts single malt and single grain, and has no added colouring. The whiskey matures in fresh sherry casks from Jerez and in bourbon casks from Kentucky. The sherry casks come through a Spanish cooperage and are shipped to Ireland. The whiskeys in the blend range from 5 to 30 years old. On the nose there are garden fruits, floral touches, spruce needles and grassy notes. The palate brings candied orange, stone fruit, vanilla, sweet peach cobbler and apricot, followed by a long, fruity finish.
