This is a limited edition Tennessee whiskey bottled at 43% ABV. It is No.3 in the Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Series, a seven-bottle series honouring each of the distillery's Master Distillers. This release pays tribute to Lemuel 'Lem' Tolley, the third Master Distiller, who served from 1941 to 1964.
The nose is light and smooth with gentle sweetness, dry spice, oily nuts, banana chips and a whisper of smoke. The palate is creamy and soft, with banana milkshake, mixed nuts, caramel and custardy crème anglaise, plus cinnamon and toasted grain. The finish is of medium length, with cereal sweetness, toasty oak and lingering vanilla and char.
