Jefferson's Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finish is a very small batch blend of straight bourbon whiskeys, selected by master blender Trey Zoeller and bottled at 45.1% (90.2 proof).
The finish takes place in French oak casks from Chappellet Winery in Napa Valley that previously held Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon.
The colour is deep amber with a red cast. The nose has caramel and toasted oak, with dark red fruit, blackcurrant and vanilla. The palate is rich and layered, with toffee, vanilla, dark cherry, berry and baking spice, and a firm tannic grip. The finish is long and dry, closing on wine cask tannin, oak and dark fruit.
