Jefferson's Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon from McLain & Kyne, the company Trey Zoeller founded in Kentucky in 1997. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
Each very small batch combines only 8 to 12 barrels of bourbon, matured for between 6 and 20 years in lightly charred oak. The mashbill is 60% corn, 30% rye and 10% malted barley.
The nose is fresh, with caramel, toasted corn and oak. The palate is soft and sweet, with caramel, vanilla and spice. The finish is deep but short, with oak and corn.
