Jefferson's Very Small Batch is the flagship bourbon from Jefferson's, founded by Trey Zoeller and his father Chet. It is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys sourced in Kentucky and bottled for McLain & Kyne in Louisville, at 82.3 proof (41.15%), in a 75cl bottle.
A small number of carefully selected barrels go into the blend, which is the idea behind the name.
The nose is light caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with gentle sweetness, dried fruit and a trace of baking spice. The palate brings caramel and vanilla, soft oak, dried cherry and a gentle grain sweetness. The finish is short to medium, clean and warm, with caramel, light spice and a little oaky dryness.
