Jim Beam White Label (70cl, 40%)

This is Jim Beam White Label, a straight bourbon from Kentucky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured for four years in new, charred American white oak barrels, prepared at char level 4, the deeply cracked surface often called alligator char. The mash bill is corn, rye and malted barley. The bourbon takes its golden-brown colour from the seasonal exchange between spirit and wood. The nose combines oak and vanilla with a spicy background. The palate is medium-bodied and mild, with soft caramel and vanilla. The finish leaves roasted oak and a little sweetness.
