This is a souvenir whisky made for the 1986 Commonwealth Games, sold under the John Crabbie & Co. name as the Gold Medal bottling. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 40% abv. John Crabbie & Co. traces its origins to 1801, when Miller Crabbie set up as a merchant in Edinburgh. His son John later took over and acquired a former porter brewery in Leith. In later years the company was best known for its 8 and 12 year old deluxe blends.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
