This is a 28 year old blended Scotch from John Walker & Sons, made to mark 200 years since John Walker opened his grocery shop in Kilmarnock. Master Blender Jim Beveridge and his small team took their inspiration from an original stock list from that shop. It is bottled at 46% ABV. The blend draws on whiskies from Pittyvaich, Cambus and Port Ellen, each at least 28 years old, chosen to bring out the exotic flavours of the 1820s. Dried fruit, figs and candied ginger mark the nose, with warming spice and soft smoke. The palate brings layers of spice, honey, molasses and cocoa, and the finish is sweet and spicy.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
