John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2015 Edition is a blended Scotch whisky, the second release in the Private Collection series. It is built around the rare fruit character of Johnnie Walker whiskies. Master Blender Jim Beveridge drew on 29 selected casks, some rare and experimental, and it is bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. Only 8,888 numbered decanters were released worldwide. The blend moves from fresh Speyside fruit to warmer Highland autumn fruit, ending in a spicy West Highland note. The nose offers grilled pineapple, apricot and toffee-drizzled peach with a touch of smoke. On the palate come baked apple and pear, vanilla and honey, and the finish is long, with stewed fruit and light smoke.
