Johnnie Walker 12 Year Old Black Label Anniversary Edition is a blended Scotch whisky released for the 100th anniversary of the Striding Man logo, which dates from 1908. It was bottled in 2008 at 40% ABV.
The nose mixes sweet, oaky and smoky aromas with winter spice, treacle and white pepper. On the palate it is rich and full-bodied, with wood smoke, dry spice, barley, cereal, creamy toffee and a distinct herbal note.
The finish is long and fairly fruity, with sultanas and mixed peel.
