Johnnie Walker Black Label is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky, in this case the Warsaw edition of the Air Ink design. The label notes that the bottle has been printed using ink made from air pollution. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it is rich and layered: winter spices, molasses, toffee, dried fruit such as raisins and figs, a little citrus, sweet vanilla and peat smoke in the background. The palate is full-bodied and very smooth, with wood smoke, dry spice, barley and cereal, followed by a creamy sweetness reminiscent of dark chocolate and vanilla.
The finish is long and warm, with orange peel, sultanas, toasted oak and a soft trace of smoke.
