Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Year Old Extra Special 1990s (1L, 40%)

This is a 1990s bottling of Johnnie Walker Black Label, a 12 year old blended Scotch whisky labelled Extra Special, in a 1 litre tin at 40% ABV. The blend draws on over 40 whiskies from across Scotland. In 1906 John Walker & Sons relaunched its three blends as White, Red and Black Label, with Black Label the 12 year old. Once opened, the nose shows white pepper, winter spice and a hint of citrus. The palate has woodsmoke, cereal, creamy toffee and herbal sweetness, followed by a long finish of sultanas, citrus and smoke.
