A 12 year old blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, issued as a Chinese Edition of Black Label and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The bottler is John Walker & Sons Limited, London.
The nose opens with winter spices, brown sugar and toffee, followed by ripe fruit and raisins over a soft peat smoke. The palate is smooth, dense and creamy, with intense vanilla and sweet caramel, then orange peel, nuts, toasted malt and an island-style smokiness.
The finish is very long and warm, with charred wood, gentle smoke, dark chocolate and a peppery, citrus note.
