Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Years Old – 100 Years of the Striding Man (70cl, 40%)

A 12 year old blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. This Black Label Anniversary Edition marks 100 years of the Striding Man, and the bottler is John Walker & Sons. The nose is sweet and gently spicy, with orange peel, citrus, vanilla and cinnamon, then nuts, raisins, molasses and a subtle peat smoke. The palate is smooth and creamy, with caramel, toffee, exotic fruit and dark chocolate, followed by black pepper, toasted oak and wood smoke. The finish is medium to long, warm and bittersweet, with citrus, peat smoke and oak.
