Black Label Sherry Edition is a 12 year old blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, given a secondary maturation in former sherry casks. The blend includes malt from Blair Athol, Strathmill and Cardhu, and Colin Scott is the master blender. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has dried figs, ripe plums, raisins and dates, with toffee, vanilla, orange peel, a veil of smoke and winter spice. On the palate, sherried fruit meets dark chocolate, nuts and mocha, with malt, honey, black pepper and cardamom. The finish is medium to long, warm and slightly dry, with vanilla, spiced oak and soft peat smoke.
