Johnnie Walker Black Label Extra Special is a blended Scotch whisky from John Walker & Sons, in a 1 litre bottle at 43% ABV. Its dried fruit character comes from sherry casks.
The nose opens with mature peat smoke, balanced by raisins and figs, over vanilla, toffee and orange peel with a light touch of malt and wood spice. The palate brings creamy caramel and sweet malt, then candied dark fruit, with clear, elegant smoke and a pleasant peppery, ginger spice. The finish is long and warm, dry with peat smoke and oak tannins, and a malty sweetness that lingers.
