Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky from John Walker & Sons, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. This is a limited edition design by Mattia Biagi, and the label describes the whisky as a rich, intense, smoky blend. The nose opens with peat smoke and charred wood, then apples, pears, citrus zest and prunes, with dark chocolate, leather, coffee and vanilla beneath. The palate is powerful and silky, with malty sweetness, caramel and honey giving way to bonfire smoke, cloves and black pepper. The finish is long and dry, with peat smoke, liquorice and toasted oak.
