Johnnie Walker Explorers' Club Collection The Royal Route (1L, 40%)

The Royal Route is a blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, part of The Trade Routes Series within the Explorers' Club Collection. It was distilled, blended and bottled in Scotland and comes at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. The nose is rich and fruity, with crisp apple, plums, raisins and baked banana, moving to cardamom, cinnamon and black pepper, with vanilla and a hint of American malts. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with toffee, dried fruit and figs, alongside cereal, nutmeg, ginger and a firm oak structure. The finish is moderately long, with faint aromatic smoke, tobacco, peppery warmth and a twist of bitter chocolate.
