A Johnnie Walker 18 year old blended Scotch at 40% ABV, made as Gold Label The Centenary Blend. It is a blend of 15 single malts and grains, including Clynelish and Cardhu, with a minimum age of 18 years.
The nose is delicate and honeyed with a touch of sea air, buttery grain, dried grass and coconut, then pear and ripe apple under soft smoke. On the palate there is vanilla, shortbread, tropical fruit, hay and marshmallow, with sweet, spicy, gently smoky malt and a little peat at the back. The finish is long, with peppermint, honeycomb, soft oak and a wisp of smoke.
