Gold Label The Centenary Blend is an 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. Sir Alexander Walker created the blend in 1920 to celebrate the company's centenary.
Fresh green pear, raisins, apple and a touch of orange and mandarin lead the nose, with honey, vanilla, caramel and toffee, and a little smoke and wood beneath. The palate is full-bodied yet silky, with maple syrup, vanilla, toasted almonds, dark chocolate and tropical fruit, plus a hint of mint and light smoke. The finish is long, warm and creamy, with wood, toffee and a soft smoky echo.
