Johnnie Walker Honour Very Rare Old is a blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% ABV.
The nose shows the influence of sherry, with star anise, nutmeg, leather and crystallised demerara sugar, along with traces of peat smoke, dried plum and sponge cake sweetness. On the palate it is medium-bodied, salty and lightly prickling, with herbal notes from sherry casks, liquorice and some rum-like esters. The finish is medium to long and slightly drying, with smoked plum and preserved ginger.
