Johnnie Walker Platinum Label is an 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky, bottled by John Walker & Sons at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The label calls it a Private Blend and records the house's establishment in Kilmarnock in 1820.
The nose is rich and sweet, with ripe tropical and white fruit alongside vanilla, clove and cinnamon. The palate is soft, silky and creamy, drying towards the middle as oak, a little tannin and herbal notes of mint and tobacco appear. The finish is medium to long, with dark chocolate bitterness, citrus peel and a last wisp of aromatic peat smoke.
