Johnnie Walker Premier Rare Old Blended Scotch Whisky

A blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, made from rare whiskies in the Johnnie Walker inventory, including some from distilleries that are now silent. The colour is a red copper and the whisky looks oily in the glass. The nose opens with a bourbon-like sweetness; with water it shows dried fruit, raisins and caramel, with vanilla, ice cream, barley and oak. The palate is big and warming, with rich oak, spice, sherried sweetness, toffee and ginger. The finish is big too, with spice, black pepper and ginger, and lingering oak and toffee.
