This is a 2 litre bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label, a blended whisky released in the 1970s. That was the time of the blended whisky boom, when Johnnie Walker was at the height of its global popularity. The nose is soft and sweet, with vanilla, buttercream, green apple, mandarin, caramel sauce, brandy, raisin and milk chocolate. The palate opens sweet, then turns to Aperol, Campari, light peat smoke, ashy notes, orange oil, brown sugar and red vermouth, with a bitterness like a Negroni. The finish is light and gently smoky, with orange and sharp raspberry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
