Johnnie Walker Rye Cask Finish is a 10-year-old blended whisky, bottled at 46% in a 1 litre bottle. It was first matured in first-fill American oak casks and then finished in rye casks.
The nose is led by creamy vanilla, caramel and honey. On the palate it is medium to full in body and soon turns to its rye character, with baking spices such as nutmeg, clove and cinnamon, orange peel, grain and a light herbal bitterness. The finish is medium to long, dry and peppery, with charred oak, black pepper and a trace of honey and vanilla.
