A ten-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, part of the Select Casks line. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is aged in first-fill American oak casks and then finished in ex-rye whiskey casks.
Tasting notes describe a creamy vanilla nose with toasted caramel, marshmallow, honey, green apple and orchard fruit, alongside toasted wood and the dry spice of rye. The palate moves from creamy toffee sweetness to cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, with a little dark chocolate and coffee. The finish is medium to long, dry and spicy, with black pepper and toasted oak.
