A blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, bottled by John Walker & Sons at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is marked Exceptionally Smooth and carries an individual bottle number.
The nose begins with old oak, then vanilla, caramel, honey and brown sugar. With time, ripe fruit, dried fruit such as longan and raisins, soft cinnamon and a very faint smokiness appear. The palate is velvety and round, with toffee, hazelnut, apple and a malty character. The finish is long and warm, leaving oak, buttery notes, dark chocolate and a delicate smoke.
