Josef Weger Auswhal Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC

A Pinot Nero from Alto Adige with an elegant, discreet profile typical of alpine Pinot. Vivid ruby red in colour, with aromas of small red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, floral notes and a light spice. The palate is smooth, with fine tannins and fresh acidity balancing the fruit, giving a harmonious, finely textured impression. Light earthy suggestions and a mineral streak add precision to the aroma, while the structure remains essential but well defined. It pairs with white meats, delicate cured meats, mushrooms and semi-hard cheeses, as well as regional dishes and lighter preparations with not too structured red sauces. Serve around 16-18 °C in wide glasses; brief aeration in a decanter can enhance the aromas.
