Sauvignon Alto Adige DOC Auswhal - Josef Weger

A white wine from Josef Weger, interpreting the Sauvignon aromatic profile with restraint and clarity. It is pale yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose there are notes of ripe citrus, white flowers and a light herbaceous accent, with fresh nuances recalling tomato leaf and citronella. The intensity is contained but well defined. On the palate it reveals natural freshness and a slender structure; acidity supports the wine, leaving a savoury, dry sensation in the finish, with aromatic returns of white-fleshed fruit and aromatic herbs. It suits fish dishes, shellfish, elaborate salads and fresh cheeses, and works well as an aperitif wine. Serve around 8-10 C. It is compatible with short-term storage to maintain varietal freshness, and the drinking is immediate but may develop light aromatic evolutions in the hours after opening.
