Murray Hill Club is a blended bourbon from Jos. A. Magnus & Co. of Washington, D.C., bottled at 51.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It combines 18-year-old and 11-year-old straight bourbon with 9-year-old light whiskey, all aged in used barrels. The light whiskey is a higher-proof distillate with a lighter grain character, and it gives the blend a silky texture.
The nose brings baking spices, vanilla, toasted oak, honey and butterscotch. On the palate come butterscotch, toffee and gingerbread spice, with black pepper building towards a long finish of chocolate, leathery oak and tobacco leaf.
