Joseph Phelps Insignia 2019 is a Napa Valley red blend, the flagship wine of the Joseph Phelps estate, built on Cabernet Sauvignon.
The fruit is estate grown across the St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville and Stags Leap District AVAs. The wine was aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
The nose shows dark berries, cocoa and sweet tobacco. The palate is full-bodied, with black cherry, espresso, graphite and toasted oak. Rich, elegant tannins and well-integrated oak lead to a powerful but polished finish.
