Joseph Phelps Sauvignon Blanc 2024 Napa Valley

This is a 2024 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc from Joseph Phelps, made entirely from fruit grown at the Home Ranch Vineyard in St. Helena. The blend is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% of it the Musque clone. The wine spent ten months in French oak puncheons and cigare barrels, 31% of them new and 69% used, and was left on its lees for a richer texture on the palate. The nose combines bright citrus and lemongrass with stone fruit, white flowers and a touch of spice. On the palate the fruit is concentrated and layered, with a restrained oak influence. The finish is clean and lingering, with citrus lift and gentle spice.
