Jura – 14 Year Old American Rye Cask (70cl, 40%)

A 14 year old single malt from Jura, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then receives a finish in selected American rye casks, which adds herbal, floral and spicy notes to the sweet citrus and vanilla line. The distillery works with unusually tall, broad stills, and the extra copper contact encourages a fruity, aromatic character. This version carries new labels for the 2025 repackaging, and the whisky itself is unchanged. The nose offers fresh citrus and vanilla with herbs, blossom, mango, mint and crushed almonds. On the palate come caramel apple and pecan pie, cinnamon, honey, cocoa and hazelnut. The finish is warm and nutty, with toffee, maple syrup, guava and soft wood spice.
